WordPress is SEO friendly out of the box, but you know that SEO is a nonstop fight against your competitors so if you can give it even just a little boost, there’s always something you need to do if you care about your business.
One of our previous articles about WordPress SEO tools provided some links that many of you found really useful. Now we are about to take this one step further and make sure that we give you what you need to make your WordPress based site surpasses your competitors.
Let’s take this a bit further now
As many of you already know Content is the most important factor when it comes to SEO and this is where you need to focus your SEO strategy against your competitors.
The question here is why?
The answer: Content is the most important factor.
Search Engines can’t see your website so in terms of looks they don’t actually care if you have a nice looking website. But when it comes to information, aka content, that’s what they see and rank you on. They can read the info your website has to offer and then a search engine can provide your content to the reader.
What “talks” to a search engine are the words, the content, the material in your site that explains, shares, informs, and educates. Make sure you have quality word content for a search engine to examine and compare with all the parts and pieces to give you a good “score”.
So is there a useful tip that works when it comes to content?
When you write your content you need to have searchers in mind. So exactly how do you do that? Well just take yourself as an example, what “search” terms you used in order to reach this article here? That’s the way you need to write something that you want to be found on the Internet. In other words, write like you speak.
You need to focus on words and phrases that you or someone would use to find your information, and use them more than once (without overdoing it, this would get you banned from Google possible!) and make sure you keep an eye on how your content performs so you can learn how search engines work and how they evaluate your content.
Ok so how do you do that?
