How to backup a single account over ssh on cPanel server
We already discussed on How to initiate cPanel backup from SSH but there are many times you need to backup and restore a single account on a cPanel server, especially if you host more than one websites.
How to backup a single account over ssh on cPanel server
- Log-in to the SSH as the root user.
- Enter the following command string on the command line interface
/scripts/pkgacct username
The account backup will be created in the current directory you are in.
How to Restore the Individual cPanel Account via SSH?
- Log-in to the SSH as the root user.
- Enter the following command
/scripts/restorepkg username
In order to restore the data, you need to be in the directory where the backup file is stored.
This is the easiest way to backup and restores individual cPanel web hosting accounts via the command-line interface.
If you prefer you may use the WHM interface, in that case, the cPanel-Move file has to be cited under /home folder on your server
